PointofData enables companies to achieve competitive advantages by identifying valuable information within their data and event records. PointofData has been funded by angel investment, which has been used to develop our core technology, file two patents and nine trademarks, prepare five additional patents, develop a saleable product and sign an inaugural customer. PointofData expects to raise its first institutional round of investment in 2008 to accelerate development, build its IP portfolio, expand sales and marketing and establish itself as the world's leading information platform.

Management Team

Steve Mattioli, President and Chief Executive Officer
Steve Mattioli joined PointofData as President and Chief Executive Officer in December 2005. Under his leadership, PointofData completed its first round of investment and introduced its first enterprise software product, the Active Information Platform^TM. Steve has over 25 years of experience in the enterprise hardware and software market. He was previously Founder and CEO of YottaYotta, Inc. a next generation storage company, President of SEEK Systems and Senior VP Marketing and Sales for Applied Voice Technology. Earlier, Steve held senior management positions at TriData Networking and NCR Data Communications. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University.

Ned Menninger, Chief Financial Officer
Ned Menninger joined PointofData as Chief Financial Officer in May 2006. Prior to joining PointofData, he was the CFO of YottaYotta, the CFO of Freei Networks and the co-founder, vice president and CFO of Puresource, a biomedical technology company. Earlier, Ned worked at Microsoft Corporation as a manager in the strategic business decisions group. Microsoft had acquired Dare to Dream Intertainment, a company that he co-founded and managed. Additionally, Ned served as the Chief Financial Officer of Sequoia Capital for three years. He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California.

Mike Meadway, Chief Scientist
Mike Meadway joined PointofData as Chief Scientist in March 2004. As PointofData's principal software architect, he built the Active Information Platform^TM after years of extensive research, experimentation and experience. A veteran software developer and system architect with a wide historical perspective, Mike holds four patents in database architecture and was the principal designer/author of several successful distributed database products. He served as co-founder or primary architect at a series of pioneering software firms, including 360 Powered, Archive Index Systems and Atrieva. Previously, Mike developed information retrieval systems for the legal, medical and publishing industries and worked for the U.S. Department of Defense.

Board of Directors

Stanford Tharp is the founder and Chairman of PointofData, where he is responsible for the overall vision of the Company. Stanford has been an entrepreneur and advisor to businesses since 1976, and has also been closely involved with projects in learning systems for the education markets. Additionally, he has been instrumental in the creation of organizations to promote the use of technology and associative learning methods in education. Stanford holds a B.S in Marketing from the University of Southern California.

David Ross is the co-founder and Chief Scientist of RAF Technologies. He has 25 years experience in developing pattern recognition and information management solutions for government and industry. An industry pioneer, Dave co-founded Calera Recognition Systems where his patents made the company the world leader in omnifont OCR technology. He holds a degree in Physics from Yale University and an advanced degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Sciences from Stanford University.

David B. Marsing is a retired executive of Intel Corp where he had multiple roles including Vice President of Technology and Manufacturing Group and Chief Operating Officer of Intel’s Network Communications Group. Marsing received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in 1976 from the University of Oregon. He also undertook a three-year multidisciplinary graduate program at the University of Oregon in solid-state physics, business and law.
